The actress also received two Tony Awards were nominated. Janney was raised in Dayton, Ohio. She was born in and lived in Boston. After graduating in Kenyon College, she received an entire scholarship to The Royal Academy of Dramatic Art. Janney was first seen on TV in 1999. She performed the role of C. J. Cregg as part of NBC's politic program The West Wing from 1999-2006 which earned her 4 Primetime Emmy Awards. Her role on"Masters of Sex," a Showtime show Masters of Sex, Margaret Scully, Janney won the Primetime Emmy Award 2014 for Outstanding Guest Actress In the Drama Series. Janney has been nominated for the prestigious six Primetime Emmy Awards, and she took home two awards for Outstanding Supporting Actress in Comedy series.
